Patience may be required on everyone's behalf as he works through this process. WM. P. KINCAID SCHOLARSHIP FUND: No official report was given as Peg was unavailable for this meeting. It is believed that Peg will soon be meeting with her committee to review applicants. Because we are not facing immediate major expenses a transfer of funds was recommended. Following discussion a motion was made, seconded, and passed to transfer $8,000.00 out of the Checking Account: $4,000.00 to Savings and $4,000.00 to Wm. P. Kincaid Scholarship Fund. DATABASE REPORT: Dana reported there are 387 paid members. To date, there are 19 RSVPs for the Atlanta Reunion. Dana reported that his cross-reference and search through the 2001 Alumni Directory is completed. This was a time consuming and diligent project. He noted that eight out of ten were returns from Harris's mailings. This process involved the cost of First Class Postage (34 cents), creation of a new label and envelope in order to re-send each mailing. We have expanded our database as a result of the cross-reference of the 2001 Directory. We have also been able to confirm information feedback from alumni which has been most helpful and accurate; particularly, regarding confirmation of deceased alumni and faculty. Basically, 7,000 addresses are current and 1,500 to 2,000 were returns. Dana suggested that in the future we consider signing up for: http://www.classmates.com. They also locate alumni students in Canada and overseas who are in American schools. E-MAIL NEWSLETTER: Dana confirmed that all alumni with known e-mail addresses received our E-Mail Newsletter during January and February. Beginning in March only IHHSAA members will continue to receive our Newsletter. When membership renewal of $10.00 is received e-mails will resume. E-mail returns were briefly discussed. It was believed that e-mail changes will probably always be a source of unnotified change. General discussion took place regarding topics for the E-Mail Newsletter. It was suggested that Bill develop "Anniversary Articles" of this day/month/year covering a certain school event that took place -- along with some background history. A "Do you remember who/what/when/or where...?" approach. SPORTS RECOGNITION: Dana shared an e-mail received from Herb Hillard, Class of 1954, concerning the fact IHHS sports records only began being listed in 1980 to the present time. He had contacted the present Athletic Director for confirmation. Herb lives in California and would like to spearhead a committee of local people to assist by researching this matter and bring the record up-to-date from 1954 forward. He may be contacted at: bearzpoo@aol.com. Lengthy discussion followed. We are aware that this project would cover a 26-year span and would take an undetermined length of time to retrieve and assemble data. Bill and Greg are hopeful that leads from athletes themselves, "Chieftains," "Legends," programs from former athletic events, personal scrapbooks, local newspaper articles/Indian Hill Journal, and underground newspapers may aid in this endeavor. It was decided we publish an article in the March E-Mail Newsletter regarding this possible oversight. Discussion also centered around the topic of student basketball players who had gone on to be well known players and/or coaches. It was suggested that we also consider some of our teacher/ coaches as subjects for the E-Mail Newsletter. MEMBERSHIP REPORT: No official report was given as Diane was unavailable for this meeting. Following brief discussion is was noted that membership is slightly down from this time last year. Greg reported that Alicia Bridgeland, Class of 1975, is now with the Cincinnati Zoo as Director of Development. She also currently serves on the Indian Hill Exempted Village School Board. It is hopeful that this connection may give us possible access to a Zoo mentor program. Greg volunteered to follow-up with Alicia about helping us to develop and enlarge a mentor program. Greg will refer this suggestion and response to Diane. MARKETING REPORT: No official report was given as Nicholas was unavailable for this meeting. Brief mention was made regarding Business Links. ARCHIVE REPORT: Greg reported that he has spoken with Mr. Dennis W. Dupps at IHHS. Mr. Dupps is currently a teacher in the Technology Department and Advisor to the Technology Club. He is also associated with the IHHS television station. Greg noted that Mr. Dupps department has video archives that may be made available to us. (This department may be explored by visiting: www.ih.k12oh.us/hs and clicking on "Teacher Pages." It may also be accessed from our website: www.ihhsaa.org. and clicking on "Teacher Pages.") It was noted that in the future we may wish to convert our mylar archives to CD/ROM for preservation. SOCIAL REPORT: Shari reported that the Saturday, April 20th trip to Keeneland Race Course is cancelled due to the fact tickets were quickly sold out. General discussion followed regarding other trips in the tri-state area. Rising Sun, Indiana and various casino trips were discussed. No decision was made for scheduling another Motorcoach event. FIRST REGIONAL REUNION RECAP: The Southeastern Regional All- Class IHHSAA Reunion will held on Saturday, April 13th, 6:30PM to 10:30PM, at the home of Scott (Class of 1984) and Elizabeth Lyon, 3892 Wieuca Rd, Atlanta, GA 30342. Shari will call Scott to encourage him and his committee to make follow-up calls also. MR. CHARLES SELZER: It was reported that Mr. Selzer had passed away on February 15th.
