The 9th Annual All-Member Alumni Association
Reunion was held on Saturday, June 11th, 2005 in Fan Francisco, California.
The location was the lovely and historic Ramada Plaza Hotel on Market Street, in the
hear of downtown San Francisco.
A couple of dozen alumni gathered in the presidious "Giardelli Room" named after the
founder of the famous Giardelli Chocolate Company, one of San Francisco's famous
landmarks. Greeting them at the door were Bill Kincaid, honorary member of the class
of 1959, former English teacher, publisher of "The Chieftain," golf coach, football
play-by-play announcer, class play advisor, et al and Alumni Association Trustee,
Dana Ewell ('58).
Brent Harnish, Valerie (Pigue) Harnish ('72), anf Jane Rieger ('72) joined Matina Seremetis ('80)
for dinner. The thoughtful husband of Matina Sremetis ('80), Andy Pineda, took a few moments
to show off their darling little daughter, Georgia.
Bill Kincaid's wife, Mildred, accompanied Bill to the reunion - and they both spent some time
visiting with Keith Krone ('75). Jane Rieger ('72) enjoyed comparing stories with
Julia (Stevens) Gregg ('57) about how things were different at Indian Hill for their
different classes.
The Schumacher family was well represented by Ruth (Schumacher) Hoover-Piersol ('70) and her
husband Wayne, as well as her brother Dale Schumacher ('68). Meanwhile, Valerie (Pigue) Harnish
('72) and her husband, Brent, posed for pictures.
Attendees enjoyed a marvelous dinner - selecting between really wonderful Grilled Salmon; Roasted
Chicken Breast served with Mushroom Ragout sauce; both served with garlic mashed potatoes and
either fresh vegitables or green beans; or Seasonal Grilled Vegetables with Balsamic reduction
sauce. All meals included salad, Entree and dessert.
Diane (Remmell) Dow ('83) was shadowed from the flash as she visited with Justin Rollman ('00). Later,
Trustee Dana Ewell ('58) visited with Justin Rollman ('00) - sort of the old and the young of the reunion.
John Woolery ('68) had the chance to catch up with fellow classmate Peggy (Murphy) Nederlof ('68), and were
joined by Wayne Hoover-Piersol, husband of Ruth (Schumacher) Hoover-Piersol ('70). Then Peggy and her
husband, Rick, spent some time visiting with Bill and Mildren Kincaid.
The very essense of the All-Member Reunions the Alumni Association puts on are for old classmates,
and those of various classes to have the chance to come together for a fun evening, and be able to
share stories and rememberances - catch up with what's going on in everyone's lives, and have the
chance to see some faces from home again. If you've never been to one of our reunions, next year
will be the tenth we've put together - so we hope to see you there!
