So, we decided to have the All-Member Reunion this year in a location
that was more convenient for alums to reach.
So, happy and excited alumni and their dates or mates gathered at the
home of Scott Lyon ('84) and his wife, Elizabeth, in the Buckhead
section of Atlanta, on Saturday, April 13th, 2002 for
the 6th All-Member Alumni Association Reunion.
Even the weather cooperated. The "rainy night in Georgia" syndrome,
which most of us thought could dampen the evening, took a break for
the hours of the reunion. The festivities were able to go on as planned.
As party-goers arrived, they were greeted inside the front door by
Trustee Dana Ewell ('58) at the sign-in desk.
Dana maintains the web site and database for the Alumni Association.
Here, partygoers were checked off against the Reservation and
Membership Lists.
Then, they were pointed in the direction of the food (in the kitchen)
and the bar (in the rec room).
Dana and his wife, Joan (Klee) Ewell ('58), joined former English teacher,
Golf Coach, Chieftan Editor, Thespian director, honorary member of
the class of 1959, and all-round everything, Mr. Bill Kincaid (for
whom the Alumni Association's Scholarship program is named), as the
members of the Cincinnati deligation.
They represented the Alumni Board of Trustees at the reunion.
If you've never been to a reunion, one of the special things
that take place is seeing folks you haven't seen in decades.
Here, Bill Kincaid visits with one of the alums we haven't seen
in a long time, Colston Mitchell (class of 1959) and his lovely wife,
Ginger.
Following a stint in the Air Force, Colston pursued a career in
Investments in the Atlanta area.
Here, Bill, always the source of fabulous stories about past
events in the lives of alumni, swaps stories about long-ago
golf tournaments with Gus Stuhleyer ('70).
It's always fun to be a "mouse in the corner" when Bill is
regailing folks with his rememberances.
Gus, who had a number of great stories of his own to recall,
was prominent on the golf team during the years he attended
Indian Hill High School.
For the first time, the
Alumni Association decided that, while having reunions here in
Cincinnati was fun (and we've done it for the past five years),
there are many graduates who can not travel all the way back to the
old haunts for such an occassion.

The opportunity to share life stories and to catch up with each other is one of the best parts of coming to a reunion.
Scott and Elizabeth Lyon's spacious home provided a number of areas where alumni could gather and share.
Here, Amy Olson ('83), Steve and Molly Roche Kazay ('85), visit with Todd Van Ee ('97), Diane Hancher Nachazel ('86) and her husband, Richard.

Here's a gathering of some of the attendees. They are from left to right (back row), Gus Stuhlereyer ('70), Todd Pope ('69), Jane Cullen Pope ('70), Bill Moore ('60), Dana Ewell ('58), and our gracious hosts, Scott Lyon ('84) and his wife Elizabeth. Front row, from left to right, are Wendy Moore (Bill's wife), Philip Stamm ('71) and Sharon Starkey Stamm ('72), Bill Kincaid, and Joan Klee Ewell ('58).

Phil Stamm ('71) and his wife, Sharon Starkey Stamm ('72) join Diane Hancher Nachazel ('86) and her husband, Richard, in sampling some of the marvelous offerings on the buffet.
Boy, what a feast! Shrimp cocktail, grilled beef tenderloin, a marvelous selection of cheeses, all kinds of tasty dips and sauces - if you weren't there, you missed a really great party (and that's before we even consider all the fabulous and illegal desserts)!
There were no excuses for going away hungry from this evening.

Here, Joan Klee Ewell ('58), who is the Scretary for the Alumni Association, gets the chance to hear one of Bill Kincaid's marvelous rememberances.
The really great part of being with Bill, is he can tell you true stories about folks you never heard before, and can recount many of the events that took place in years when you were not at Indian Hill.
In the background, Colston Mitchell ('59) and Bill Moore ('60), who were friends many years ago, revisit some of the events that highlight their high school memories.

Later, Gus Stuhlreyer ('70) and Philip Stamm ('71) get the chance to sample some of the many offerings at the wonderful buffet.
Meanwhile, Bill Moore ('60) and Bill Kincaid bring each other up to date on events that have transpired since they were at Indian Hill.
This is why coming to a reunion is so special. You have the chance to see and visit with special people you've not seen in decades!

Several fellows gather near the front hallway to share war stories.
One of the really fun things you find out at a reunion is that you have so much in common with graduates from so many other years. We all seem to have gone through similar experiences in our lives.
That's Bill Moore ('60) standing behind Scott Lyon ('84) on the right, and Bill Kincaid has just been sharing a joke with Dana Ewell ('58) on the left.
Not shown in these pictures are Belinda Morris ('82), Michael Baker ('61) and his wife, Shari.

In another gathering of folks, we see Diane Hancher Nachazel ('86), her husband Richard, Bill Kincaid and Molly Roche Kazey ('85). That's Scott Lyon ('84) standing in front of Molly's husband, Steve, and Elizabeth Lyon is in the front row. Amy Olson ('93) is in front of Todd Van Ee ('97), and Shafagh Javanbakht and Sharam Malek ('81) stand next to Mona Foad and Ali Kerr ('81).
